Hey there! So, picture this: a military brat, constantly on the move, experiencing different cultures and soaking in inspiration from all over the world. That’s me! With an artist mom and a master furniture builder dad, creativity and craftsmanship were practically in my DNA. Making things wasn’t just a hobby; it was a way of life in my family.
After studying graphic design at the University of Washington, I stumbled upon a little start-up coffee company in Seattle. I’ll keep it nameless, but let’s just say they made a certain mermaid pretty popular! Little did I know that this would be my gateway into the world of corporate retail, product development, and sourcing. Over the span of thirty years, I climbed the ranks in various multinational retailers, managing everything from diamonds to women’s technical outerwear, food to home textiles. Talk about a whirlwind!
In my exciting career, I had the privilege of traveling the globe and meeting incredible business owners along the way. But then, the pandemic hit, and it made me reevaluate my path. I realized that this corporate gig no longer aligned with what I truly wanted to do with my life. Deep down, I yearned to reconnect with my artistic roots and create something meaningful. So, I took a leap of faith, bid farewell to corporate life, and decided to venture out on my own.
And you know what? It’s been a thrilling journey! Oh, and guess what else? I reignited my love for horses and riding! Now, based in Kansas City, my husband and I adore the laid-back Midwest pace of life. When I’m not busy in my studio, you can usually find me at the barn, taking care of my majestic four-legged companions, or in the kitchen, whipping up something healthy and delicious.
Speaking of family, I have three incredible grown children, two adorable grandbabies, two dogs, a horse, and three grand-dogs (yes, we’re quite the animal-loving bunch!). And if that’s not enough, my husband and I are total serial renovators. We’ve built and renovated eight homes together, and who knows, there may be more in our future!
Combining my passion for textiles and home decor, my business is all about helping my clients bring their unique style and dreams to life. Whether it’s through bespoke wall coverings, luxurious linens, cozy pillows, or stylish throws, I pour my heart and soul into creatingpersonalized pieces that elevate any space.
